My experience in league play for the first time

Hello fellow gamers! Unlike the news and reviews that we at MeepleGamers provide, we’re jumping into a format that’s new to us, so here’s what’s happening: Several weeks back, I posted a Star Wars Destiny review. After playing it just once, I really enjoyed it. A few more times under my belt, and I bought into it. Well, as of a few days ago, I decided to join a semi-casual league. As far as I can tell, it’s not officially supported by FFG, but I think it’s a really good fit for where I’m at in the game as tmy competition rangers from brand spanking new, to people who’ve been playing a bit longer than I have. I jumped into Star Wars Destiny early enough that I’m not way behind on my card collection, but at the same time, I’m still wrapping my head around the game’s approach to strategy, as well as how deck building works with this; I’ve played other card based games (teaching newbs and running sanctioned tournies are the kinds of things already under my belt, but with other games), but there’s nuance to each game and I’m still learning the nuance inherent to this one.

So, what we decided to do is vlog my experience with this. The game is still somewhat new, I’m new to it, as well as to league play. I’m posting an intro, a video from in between most of the rounds, and then a detailed post-mortem on what went right and wrong for me. Going forward though, I’ll likely be more detailed in the videos. So, we hope you’ll enjoy sharing this experience with me.
